With state school budgets being squeezed ever tighter, John Hampden Grammar have taken a bold step, launching a public online auction to raise valuable funds towards refurbishing the school’s ageing science labs.

Parent and fundraiser, Michelle Benato, approached local companies with a plan that could bring greater awareness of their brands and products to a wide local audience, simply by donating goods. It’s a tested formula that Michelle has used to support a number of schools and other charities over the last five years, with impressive results.

‘It’s not just a charitable donation, although it does tick that box’, explains marketing professional, Michelle, ‘it’s a great opportunity to raise a company’s profile in the local community and beyond. Some of the companies supporting this auction have been working with me in this way for up to 5 years and they keep coming back, so they are obviously seeing results.’

The beauty of these auctions is that they’re not limited to the school community, anyone can bid as long as they register their details first, maximising the chance of raising significant amounts towards their causes.

Companies supporting the John Hampden auction include luxury hotels, golf cubs, restaurants, clothing designers, artists, pro sportsmen and more. Additional lots are being added daily until the auction closes on Saturday morning. To view what’s on offer visit the auction site HERE!
